Summary

As a Bartender during South by San Jose (SXSJ), you will serve beverages to guests efficiently and professionally, ensuring a seamless bar experience during one of the busiest events of the year. You will take drink orders, serve pre-made beverages, check IDs, handle transactions, and maintain a clean and organized work area.

This role requires a TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) Certification, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Take drink orders from guests and wait staff
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately
• Ensure guests are of legal drinking age by checking identification
• Manage high-volume service, especially during peak hours
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately and balance receipts at the end of shifts
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and practice responsible service by identifying intoxicated patrons and following proper intervention techniques
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized work area throughout the shift
• Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar before and after shifts
• Uphold all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications:
