What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Hyatt?
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of bartending experience.
- 1 year of fine dining or high-end resort experience.
- Extensive liquor, beer, wine, and mixology knowledge.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Pleasant and helpful personality.
- Immediately greet guests as they enter the restaurant.
- Take and return guests' coats as needed.
- Compose and be knowledgeable of standard drinks and liquors or wines specific to the restaurant bar.
- Plan and maintain par levels for bar inventory.
- Prepare daily orders for bar items to maintain pars.
- Responsible for cash handling and bank procedures as outlined by General Manager or supervising agent.
- Perform accurate bar inventory on the 10th, 20th, and last day of each month or as deemed necessary by General Manager.
- Responsible for learning suggestive selling techniques and using them during services.
- Maintain cleanliness of all work areas that apply to the bar.
- Maintain a perfectly crisp uniform.
- Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- Deliver cocktails to tables as needed.
- Assist in other Food and Beverage departments as needed.
- Dimly lit, carpeted, climate-controlled environment. Hard kitchen floors with occasional slippery or greasy areas. Handling hot china and silver.
