Description :
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the oversight of the operation of the hotel, and the efficient running of Purchasing department. Ensuring the supply of inputs and services required by the operation, in order to obtain better quality and price.
Duties and Responsibilities :
make the daily purchases for the operation.
interview suppliers to assess their quality, price, care and service capabilities.
quote with the suppliers the products and services that the Hotel requires, to obtain the best price conditions. Will negotiate discounts and credits with suppliers, to obtain benefits for the Hotel.
monitor the satisfaction of the internal clients of the Hotel in relation to the products and services acquired, maintaining the best levels of quality.
supervise the warehouses.
follow up on purchase orders and ensure that the products arrive at the Hotel in a timely manner.
actively contribute to the operation of other departments.
proactively doing daily review of storeroom inventory to assess shelf life of products and communicate with Executive Chef on these items.
oversee the receiving process in addition to the purchasing process of all goods, to ensure Corporate compliance, separation of duties, and accuracy of the hotel financial statement
must be well versed in Food and Beverage Cost controls, and takes a proactive approach to contain costs
assist with the Month End closing process as it pertains to accuracy of the Food & Beverage cost of the hotel financial statement
The salary range for this position is $66,100-$95,700. This is the pay range for this position that Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications :
Strong organizational, time management, computer, and communication skills
Minimum of 2-year experience preferred hotel operations in related positions.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Requires understanding and analysis of financial statements.
Ability to develop and deliver training materials.
Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations.
Ability to manage group and interpersonal conflict situations effectively.
