What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant & Special Event Coordinator position at Hyatt?
The Restaurant & Special Event Coordinator is an individual who has experience in free standing restaurant and bar operations. Responsibilities include administrative work, prospecting, selling, booking and coordinating events, large parties and other food and beverage related activities for Beck and Call Rooftop Lounge and Cimas Restaurant and Lounge to both in-house guests and the surrounding communities. This includes working with hotel staff to provide these services to guests, groups, managing and conducting site inspections and soliciting and generating business as a result of these relationships. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, hosting and coordinating the event turnover to restaurant management and providing other customer service requirements as appropriate.
Responsibilities include :
Monitor and manage all phone calls, emails, inquiries and reservations
Review / Coordinate daily reservations
Communicate updates to F&B and Culinary Teams
Coordinate appointments and visits to tour our space
Assist with negotiations for space contracts and book event space, arrange Food and Beverage orders, order audiovisual equipment, arrange events signs and ensure appropriate decor (floral, linen, room layout, etc..), arranging menus, and more
Provide periodic progress reports to the F&B leadership team
Ability to accomplish daily duties and projects with little supervision
Greet every guest that comes in and verifies all guests I.D’s accessing the Rooftop are over the age of 21
Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality
Assist with menu changes and updates format for menu reprint as needed
Assist leadership team and restaurant operations as needed, particularly during high business level days
