We have been supporting the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs for over 20 years.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical Support Analyst to join our IT Operations team. This position will work in a team and will be responsible for the continuous monitoring of Windows and Linux systems, as well as various applications, to ensure optimal performance and availability. This role requires a proactive individual who can identify, troubleshoot, and escalate issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain system integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Continuous Monitoring: Monitor Windows and Linux servers, network devices, and applications using advanced monitoring tools to ensure system stability and performance.
- Incident Management: Detect, diagnose, and escalate system anomalies, performance issues, and outages to the appropriate support teams. Follow up to ensure timely resolution.
- Alert Management: Respond to alerts generated by monitoring systems, perform initial troubleshooting, and escalate as necessary.
- Reporting: Document incidents, outages, and resolutions in detail. Generate regular reports on system performance and incident trends.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and application support teams, to resolve complex issues.
- Shift Work: Participate in a rotational shift schedule to provide 24/7 coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in system monitoring, IT support, or a related role.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively with people at all levels in an organization/project; work to resolves issues remotely
- MUST be a U.S. citizen or hold a permanent green card. Must have the ability to gain US Government Clearance (public trust)
- MUST possess a valid Driver's License with dependable transportation
- MUST currently reside local to the Central FL area to work on-site at our office most weekdays; may consider a hybrid schedule for the right candidate
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, SolarWinds, or similar.
- Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to respond quickly to alerts and incidents, sometimes outside of regular working hours.
Working Conditions:
- This role requires working in a 24/7 operational environment, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
