Position Description:
This position is responsible for supervising and leading production employees, building machines to specification, maintaining inventory, assisting with shipping, and shop paperwork.
Reports to:
Operations Manager
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Lead a team of production personnel to provide daily guidance and direction regarding their assigned tasks and goals
- Receive overall production goals from Operations Manager and break those down into actionable tasks for production personnel
- Assist in the establishment and execution of goals and objectives to meet continuous improvement initiatives
- Exemplify the companies values and culture expectations
- Maintain the standards for cleanliness/organization of the production floor, warehouse, outside yard, and cold storage areas
- Manage training and development for new and existing employees
- Build machines to design specifications and quality requirements
- Maintain Inventory and assist with physical inventory counts
- Assist with incoming and outgoing freight as needed
- Other tasks as needed, assigned by Operations Manager and Managing Partner
Education and Experience:
- Previous leadership experience is required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license
- Forklift certification and experience is a plus
- Solid work history that demonstrates reliability
- Able to work on your feet for 8 hour shifts and lift 30 lbs on a regular basis
- Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
