What is my role?
As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting product and samples and handling internal deliveries across various company locations within the Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego Counties. The role requires a proactive individual who is organized, punctual, and has knowledge and experience with safe driving practices.
What You'll Do
- Pick up samples from designated locations and deliver them to internal departments.
- Shuttle internal deliveries between company facilities as needed.
- Ensure all packages and samples are properly secured and handled during transport.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, conducting regular checks and ensuring it is in good working order.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols while driving.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules and any delays or issues.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and ensuring the proper documentation is completed when needed.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs for accountability and reporting purposes.
- Valid CA driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- 2 years experience driving larger box truck vehicles.
- Proven experience as a driver or in a similar role (experience with internal deliveries or sample pickups is a plus).
- Familiar with local freeways, Interstate Highways, Toll Roads, Scale procedures and checkpoints.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to operate a manual pallet jack
- Ability to lift and carry packages (may be required for deliveries).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and tasks.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Ability to travel within local areas as part of regular job duties
- Flexible hours availability - this position may require occasional overtime or flexibility in working hours depending on the needs of the company
