Dyslexia Interventionist (Multi-Campus)
This position will work at two campuses listed below:
1) 3 days a week at:
LISA Academy Online School - Works in person at the campus and mainly meets with the students virtually. More details will be given during the interview.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution preferred
-
Training in the district’s dyslexia program (Connections OG in 3D or The Sonday System Level 2) is preferred
-
1 or more years of experience as an ELA/Reading or Dyslexia interventionist is preferred
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Provide instructional services to those students who have been identified for dyslexia services
-
Implement the district dyslexia intervention program with fidelity
-
Keep accurate and complete records including Lesson Plans, Service Logs, and Student Progress (Quarterly and Annually) documents for identified students with characteristics of dyslexia or dyslexia as required
-
Assist in screening and/or evaluating students who have been referred to the dyslexia program for testing and provide periodic evaluation and exit consideration from the dyslexia program, which includes a written screening report.

Participate with teachers, parent(s), and campus administrators in determining qualification for Section 504 services or Special Education services in relation to dyslexia services

Work with the District’s Dyslexia Coordinator to ensure that the assigned campus is in compliance with the Arkansas Dyslexia ACT 1294 of 2013 and ACT 1268 of 2015

Understanding and explaining the Arkansas Dyslexia (ACT 1294 of 2013 and ACT 1268 of 2015) law/procedures, screening results, and information to parents and teachers is necessary

Coordinate services with other involved school personnel in planning and providing joint instruction for students

Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other relevant staff members in developing and implementing interventions

Assume responsibility for instructional materials and equipment inventory to the assigned school

Attend district and campus meetings involving reading programs and programs for students with characteristics of dyslexia or dyslexia
-
Attend training in methods and strategies that improve general reading and dyslexia instruction
-
Complete student progress in the dyslexia program by completing quarterly and annual progress reports that will also be provided to parents at the end of each quarter and the end of the school year.

Monitor students that have been dismissed from dyslexia intervention services due to reaching grade level criteria for one year with documentation.

Provide staff development to campus personnel on dyslexia/reading issues

Provide assistance to classroom teachers by helping them identify appropriate strategies for the delivery of regular classroom reading instructions to identified students

Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations

Attend staff meetings and PLCs
-
Comply with all district and local campus routines and regulations
-
Maintain a positive and effective relationship with supervisors and coworkers
-
Effectively communicate with colleagues, students, and parents
-
Perform other duties as assigned
