Key Responsibilities:
- Drive 8D problem solving methods for continuous process improvement and reduction of customer defects including both 0-hr PPM and field warranty claims.
- Support cross-functional teams to implement robust corrective actions and quality system improvements.
- Support development of robust manufacturing processes utilizing the APQP toolset including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SPC.
- Work with purchasing and suppliers to resolve incoming material non-conformances and to ensure proper countermeasures are implemented to prevent re-occurrence.
- Work with project teams to collect customer requirements for PPAP packages for major OEMs and achieve on-time submission deadlines. Resolve any internal or external discrepancies with the customer or internal business partners.
- Interact with customers and maintain customer portals to provide timely response to corrective action, PPAP, and engineering change / deviation requests.
- Work with cross-functional teams to analyze and address internal findings from audits, red-tag process, and first pass yield data to proactively reduce quality defects.
Requirements
Requirements
- BS degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics.
- Familiarity with APQP methodology and implementation.
- Experience with leading continuous improvement projects.
Preferences
- 3 or more years of relevant Engineering experience.
- Understanding and exposure to Lean and/or Six Sigma concepts a plus.
- Internal auditor experience is a plus.
