Job Summary
The adult Home Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the adult home facility, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care in a safe and supportive environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of healthcare regulations, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health and dementia care, as well as a background in social work or assisted living.
Duties
- Manage the overall operations of the adult ome, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Lead and supervise staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance resident care and safety.
- Oversee medication administration processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with medical standards.
- Manage budgeting and financial planning for the facility, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Coordinate care plans for residents, involving families and healthcare providers in decision-making processes.
- Provide training and support to staff on best practices in care delivery, including dementia care techniques.
- Maintain open communication with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders to address concerns and improve services.
Experience
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting, preferably in nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Experience in social work or related fields is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and healthcare regulations.
- Demonstrated ability in budgeting and financial management within a healthcare context.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on building relationships with residents, families, and staff.
