Job Summary
Hydra-Numatic is seeking an individual with mechanical aptitude for a full-time position in sales of water supply and wastewater equipment. The position entails involvement in the sales process from beginning to end. This includes overseeing the equipment sales, from the design phase through its delivery and installation/set-up. A high-level of customer service is expected at all times, as you will be working with engineers, contractors, developers, and officials from cities and towns. Candidate should also be organized, analytical, and focused on accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead Sourcing: Utilize the industry’s digital reporting resources and company contacts to identify new projects within assigned territory. Review specifications to find projects that align with the products that we offer.
· System Design: Determine what products we can provide to meet the specifications of a project. Work with customers, engineers, manufacturers, and our team as needed to put together a complete package to offer. Create proposals to be sent to customers detailing the equipment that would be supplied.
· Customer Engagement: Communicate with customers throughout the entire sales process, providing updates and coordinating meetings as needed. Maintain and nurture existing customer accounts and relationships, while establishing relationships with new customers. Quickly and accurately respond to sales leads and requests.
· Manufacturer Representation: Learn about the manufacturers that we represent, including their products, technologies, capabilities, and applications. Share this knowledge with potential and current customers during meetings, equipment presentations, and at trade shows.
· Travel Requirements: The position involves territory management of a geographical area. While the job is primarily in office, Monday through Friday, it does require making out of the office sales calls to both existing and potential customers. At times, associated travel to trade shows and events (out of town) will come into play.
Qualifications
· A 2 to 4-year mechanical, engineering or sales degree
· Prior experience working with control systems, including programmable logic controllers and variable frequency drives
· Prior sales experience
· Proficiency in reading and reviewing technical specifications, along with the ability to write proposals
· Excellent technical communication and customer service skills
· Self-starter, highly motivated, skilled, personable, results-driven, flexible, and out-going
Initial starting salary is commensurate with experience, with commissions after successfully completing training.
