What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fluid Connector Product Specialist position at Hydradyne, LLC?
**Territory to include up to 150 miles from San Antonio, TX**
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for identifying and recommending customer solutions, system analysis, and component selection for new and existing customers. Troubleshoot customer issues. Responsible for project planning, modeling/analysis, and providing bidding and construction administration services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Identifies new customer opportunities and increase market share for the for the fluid connector, hydraulic, and industrial hose product lines. Establishes and maintains strong customer relations using sales skills, product knowledge, and knowledge of customer’s business.
- Understands products and present solutions independently.
- Meets with customers to demonstrate and explain features and benefits of products and services. Develops and presents information to promote the acceptance of products and/or services at customer locations.
- Acts as the subject matter expert for assigned product line for the company.
- Identifies and reviews customer needs and specifications in order to determine a minimum bill of material, competitive price level and shipment cycle. Answers questions about products, prices, and quality.
- Document activities in CRM and complete monthly reports as required by management.
- Forecast monthly and annual business plan showing projected sales and quotas.
- Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge through attendance at regularly scheduled internal and external training classes
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS – SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Additional product knowledge/application experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and instrumentation a plus.
- Ability to identify scenarios and excel at both solution and component sales, depending on the situation
- Organizational skills to manage schedule
- Computer proficiency – strong knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Proficiency in communication and presentation skills and comfortable giving presentations to senior management personnel
- Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of a product, service, or idea.
- Strong understanding of selling techniques, market channels, technical application of products, and negotiation techniques.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or equivalent experience.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years selling fluid connector, industrial and hydraulic hoses.
