What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rental Warehouse Technician position at Hydraulic Technologies?
Job Title:
To lead and drive performance in the Bolting Systems Gonzales warehouse by overseeing day-to-day shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory controls in compliance with company policies and business strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist and coordinate the warehouse in terms of compliance to company policies and strategy.
- Coordinate day to day shipping, receiving, tool maintenance, prioritize daily tasks, order processing and shop operations.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationship with both external and internal customers, suppliers, and transport companies.
- Coordinate rental inventory control and reconcile with the Operations Supervisor on lost or damaged tooling.
- Shop safety, ensuring all equipment is in safe operating condition and all safety shop rules are followed.
- Must be very organized and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have strong customer service skills upon interaction on will calls, after hour callouts or customer pickups.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs and able to learn new programs.
- Must have technical aptitude and be mechanically inclined to trouble-shoot repairs and increase productivity.
- Must be able to work an on-call schedule including after-hours weekends and holidays.
- Be hands on and lead by example.
- The ability to identify opportunities for process development and improvement
- A demonstrated commitment to EHS procedures and behavior.
- Knowledge on setup layout to provide feedback and ensure efficient space and asset utilization.
- Ensure cleanliness of building, work areas and external areas always using the 5S process
- Going the extra mile to engage the team and customers and develop relationships to increase business longevity, resolving any potential issues.
- Additional duties as assigned to ensure the smooth running of the business.

Requirements:
- 8 years of warehouse experience preferably in a rental or service fast paced environment.
- Must be effective at managing multiple tasks.
- Must have mechanical aptitude and technical background preferably working with high-pressure hydraulics.
- Must be able to work independently, be a self-starter, and be self-motivated.
- High School Diploma, Technical School, or GED required.
- Be computer efficient (Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP experience beneficial).
- Clean driving history.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain.
- TWIC card or ability to obtain.
- Must have a 'can do' attitude.

Working Conditions:
Warehouse conditions are in line with Hydraulic Technologies EHS regulations and country legislative safety requirements with regards to safe walkways, shelving and general working areas. Due to the nature of the warehouse environment, temperatures can range depending on seasonal conditions. Cleanliness is of paramount importance to Hydraulic Technologies however from time to time, dust and general packing materials may accumulate. Noise can often be at levels that require hearing protection due to tool testing and general day-to-day activities in the workshop. All PPE is provided for by the company.
