Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join the purchasing team. The procurement specialist plays a crucial role to ensure parts / components are available to the production team to meet delivery deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES (may include, but are not limited to) :

Interface with vendors daily and ensure appropriate levels of inventory.

Maintain accurate (exact) files with product specs, pricing, terms and conditions, manufacturer warranties, etc.

Manage regular stock orders and apply usage history to minimize disruption during production

Provide feedback and assist in managing Min-Max.

Identifying ideal purchasing opportunities and making PO recommendations based on usage history

Proactively communicating with other departments about product allocation, delivery inquiries, and backorders

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required

Working knowledge in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) is required

Working experience with MRP systems is a plus, but not required

Attention to detail, process-mindedness, and good relationship-building skills.

Sense of urgency with strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Focused self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with deadlines.

Excellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments concurrently and deliver on commitments.
