Environmental Scientist
Currently Interviewing entry level and experienced candidates!
This position involves a background in Environmental Science or Biology. This position will focus on projects involving wetlands delineation, permitting and mitigation, and threatened/endangered species assessment as well as supporting wide variety of projects including environmental site assessments, inspections, sampling, and environmental compliance.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Conducts wetlands delineation in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Responsible for preparing technical reports.
- Organizes field data, photographs, and datasheets.
- GIS mapping and report compilation.
- Conduct threatened and endangered species assessment.
- Flexibility to do field work (including overnight stays).
- Maintain strong communication with managers and team members.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Other duties:
- Potential to obtain drone pilot license and conduct drone surveys.
- Processing of drone data.
- Conducts groundwater, methane, and storm water compliance inspections, sampling, and reporting as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required
- Knowledge of environmental regulations relating to air, water, solid waste, soil, and other material samples.
- Knowledge of environmental permitting and wetland delineation reporting.
- Good time management and organization skills.
- Strong technical writing and oral communication skills required.
- Strong analytical skills. Strong problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail & ability to work independently (once trained) as well as desire to learn and follow procedures.
- Ability to think critically.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to adhere to company policies and rules set forth; promotes company’s safety standards; works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness.
- Must possess strong computer skills.
- Must pass drug test, physical and background check
- GIS Analysis background, and Phase I ESA experience a plus.
