Role Summary: Industrial Equipment Maintenance Specialist
Your role is crucial in preventing plant equipment failures and minimizing downtime through safe and effective maintenance practices. You will also contribute to the plant's longevity by fabricating parts and optimizing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address maintenance priorities safely, ensuring all facility needs are met under guidance.
- Offer preventive maintenance for buildings and plant equipment including boilers, per SOPP's.
- Utilize welding and pipe fitting skills to enhance equipment and plant processes.
- Participate as an active member of the Emergency Response Team.
- Ensure products remain uncontaminated during maintenance and adhere to proper cleanup standards.
- Review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) before commencing any process for safe practices.
- Report daily maintenance activities to supervisor.
- Contribute voluntarily to the safety committee.
- Safeguard tools, equipment, and parts inventory.
- Monitor outsiders for adherence to company safety protocols.
- Propose changes to enhance process efficiency and SOPP's.
- Comply with corporate and governmental safety and environmental standards.
- Support the technical library for plant and equipment maintenance when needed.
Reporting Structure:
- This role is directly accountable to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent a must.
- Exhibit communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in English.
- Capable of safe and efficient operation of industrial equipment.
- Proficient in welding techniques and piping procedures.
- Previous maintenance work experience is advantageous.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office required.
- Maintain a valid driving record.
- Pre-employment requirement: Pass a drug screening.
