- Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections daily
- Report any property damage
- Safe and efficient operation of the forklift at all times
- Remove scrap from the saws and presses
- Empty butt hoppers
- Load scrap in trailers and keep separated by alloy- maximize load density
- Maintain full log tables with the proper size and alloy as requested by the press operators
- Unload log truck upon arrival
- Maintain and organize log tables and log yard
- Work efficiently while unsupervised
- Ensure a smooth transition during shift changes- leave the next crew the way that you would like to be left
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
