We have a fantastic full-time career opportunity for a qualified TIG / MIG / Stick Welder to work in Aston, PA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Set up and operate welding and cutting equipment under limited supervision Works within appropriate weld procedure guidelines to meet customer / contract specifications and applies knowledge of metals and alloys being welded or cut.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints, apply knowledge of weld rods, weld wire, weld equipment settings Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to safely weld in various positions while performing your job responsibilities.
Follow all travelers and assembly procedures needed to accurately repair and assemble pump components.
Plans sequence of own work operations and methods of set-up based upon weld procedures being utilized and work order requirements.
Maintain welding equipment as required to keep machines in good operating condition and maintain welding supplies and consumables in an appropriate storage environment per specifications as well as maintain their qualification documentation.
Performs any other work necessary to finish and fit parts to required customer specifications including some pipe fitting / welding.
Possess basic hand tools, basic precision measuring tools, and proper safety shoes and attire as specified by a minimum tool requirements list specific to the facility requirements
Must show a customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality work.
QUALIFICATIONS : High school diploma.
Trade school or welding certification desired.
3 years’ TIG, MIG, and Stick Welding Experience desired.
3 years’ experience in cutting, grinding, and welding various metal and alloy components 3 years’ using an overhead crane.
Accuracy using basic math skills.
Welding experience in a manufacturing or repair environment.
Ability to learn and pass weld certification test (s).
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and have a full range of hand and upper-body motion to work with tools and parts.
Welding fabrication background and experience using a welding table a plus.
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (welding helmet, gloves, etc.) We take pride in ensuring our employees work in a safe environment and we maintain a clean, highly organized place of work.
