Position Summary
The Director of Nursing is responsible for administering the nursing program within the hospital in alignment with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO). This role ensures the maintenance of high standards of patient and resident care, advises management and care staff, and contributes to policy establishment and revisions. The Director also collaborates with leadership to interpret nursing policies and objectives while developing budgets in accordance with hospital guidelines and Balanced Score Card targets.
Primary Duties
- Establish departmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in committees and provide strategic direction for the facility.
- Lead daily operational activities and take decisive actions when necessary.
- Conduct daily rounds with residents, nursing staff, and families to ensure positive outcomes. Supervise and provide guidance to nursing managers.
- Coordinate emergency responses in a calm and efficient manner.
- Prepare and manage the operational and capital budget annually.
- Attend care conferences to ensure coordination of resident needs.
- Participate in monthly Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and quarterly meetings with appropriate performance goals.
- Engage regularly with the medical director and other staff physicians to ensure effective communication.
- Maintain accurate and cooperative communication with the acute hospital team.
- Promote the facility through phone outreach, visits, and distribution of brochures at least monthly.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.

Minimum Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an RN in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or acute care setting.
- At least 3 years of experience as a nurse manager.
- Current RN License.
- Current CPR certification.

- Base Salary: USD $123,000 to $190,000
