About the Role:
Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Nurse Manager to lead the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU) team. This role is critical to fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring exceptional patient outcomes through effective leadership, staff development, and evidence-based nursing practices. You will guide operations, oversee resources and quality initiatives, and contribute to an engaged, high-performing nursing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership in managing daily operations of the STICU unit.
- Foster teamwork, professionalism, and a positive culture among nursing staff.
- Develop and implement departmental goals, clinical protocols, and performance metrics.
- Lead quality improvement projects and patient safety initiatives.
- Support ongoing staff development and training opportunities.
- Ensure alignment with organizational values, mission, and clinical excellence standards.
- Maintain clinical competence to provide direct patient care as needed.
- Promote a supportive healing environment for patients, families, and staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – required
- Current RN license – required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of 3 years professional leadership experience – required
- Minimum of 5 years bedside ICU experience – required
- Level I Trauma Center experience – preferred
- MSN – preferred
