Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner - Allergy and Immunology

Position Overview :
A physician-led health and wellness clinic in Gillette, Wyoming, is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Allergy and Immunology to join its growing team. This role provides an opportunity to deliver expert allergy and immunology care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of specialists. The position allows for both traditional and innovative approaches to patient care, including direct patient management, diagnostic testing, and patient education.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform comprehensive health assessments, including detailed patient histories and physical examinations focused on allergic and immunologic conditions (e.g., asthma, eczema, food allergies, anaphylaxis, and primary immunodeficiency disorders).
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of allergic and immunologic conditions using evidence-based guidelines.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests such as :
- Allergy skin testing
- Spirometry and pulmonary function tests
- Blood tests (e.g., IgE levels, immune panels)
- Patch testing for contact dermatitis
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans, including allergen immunotherapy, biologic therapies, and medication management.
- Administer and monitor allergen immunotherapy (e.g., subcutaneous or sublingual) and educate patients on proper use.
- Provide emergency care for acute allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, allergen avoidance, environmental control, proper medication use, and emergency preparedness for anaphylaxis.
- Counsel patients on emerging therapies and clinical trials when applicable.
- Collaborate with allergists / immunologists, pulmonologists, dermatologists, gastroenterologists, and other specialists to deliver holistic care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews to ensure accurate diagnosis and optimal management.
- Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff and allied health professionals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in the development of clinical protocols and patient education materials.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal, ethical, and institutional policies and procedures.
