Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee operations within the Women’s Services unit. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care through effective management of clinical staff, resources, and daily operations. The Nurse Manager will provide 24-hour accountability for the unit, driving compliance with healthcare standards while fostering a collaborative and compassionate care environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Direct and coordinate nursing activities to maintain excellence in patient care delivery.

Ensure compliance with established clinical protocols, safety regulations, and accreditation standards.

Manage staffing, scheduling, and development of nursing personnel within the assigned unit.

Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and hospital leadership to achieve departmental goals.

Oversee inventory, equipment, and resource utilization for optimal operational efficiency.

Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among staff.

Maintain a patient-focused approach, ensuring services are tailored to meet the diverse needs of mothers, newborns, and families.
Qualifications:
Education:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Experience:
-
Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience.

1-2 years of progressive leadership or management experience within a healthcare setting.
Licensure & Certifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nevada.

Current certifications in:
-
Basic Life Support (BLS)
-
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Additional Requirements:

Proven ability to lead nursing teams in a dynamic clinical environment.

Strong knowledge of patient care standards specific to women’s health and neonatal services.

Commitment to delivering age-appropriate care aligned with best practices.
Note: Candidates already in a similar role prior to July 2020 may be considered if actively pursuing BSN completion.
