What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resource Administrator position at Hydro Service & Supplies, Inc?
Responsibilities:
- Onboard/Off Board: Lead efforts through company’s chosen HRIS system. Maintain and update processes.
- Recruitment and Staffing: Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and facilitating the onboarding of new employees.
- Employee Records Management: Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with legal and company policies.
- Benefits Administration: Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries, and coordinate communication with benefit providers.
- Policy Implementation: Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures, ensuring employees are informed and compliant.
- Training and Development: Coordinate training programs and employee development initiatives, tracking participation and feedback.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace issues, facilitating effective communication. Formal and Intentional discussions/interview with all employees (in person or by phone). Advocate their professional and personal needs for them to increase their impact at Hydro, their family and community.
- Performance Management: Assist in the performance appraisal process by scheduling evaluations and maintaining records of employee performance.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, as well as company policies, by staying informed of HR best practices and legal updates.
- HR Reporting: Prepare and maintain HR reports and metrics to support decision-making and monitor HR activities.
- Event Coordination: Organize employee engagement events, training sessions, and other HR initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance efficiency within the HR function.
- Payroll: Process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls ensuring accuracy, including timekeeping, PTO balances, and attendance records.
- Backup Support: Provide support to other finance team members as needed, particularly during peak periods or absences.
Requirements:
- 3 years of human resources administration experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
- Individual should feel comfortable working in various technologies, ERP, Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, etc.
- Subject to background check, drug screen and DOT physical.
- Organized, detail oriented, flexible, high energy, self-starter, innovative, & good communicator
