Shipping/Receiving Specialist

Overview:

Hydro Service & Supplies is a leader in the design, fabrication, installation, and service of high purity water systems. What began as a small start-up Service DI (SDI) company in 1967 is today an industry standard for customized pretreatment and filtration skids, high purity water generation systems, storage and distribution skids, reclamation systems, and high-performance process skids for Life Sciences.

Our Durham, NC team is searching for a motivated individual with Purchasing, Inventory, and Logistics experience. This position is a full-time role, regular hours of Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Overtime may be expected during times of peak demand.

Responsibilities:

· Professionally and safely pick, pack, and coordinate outbound and inbound shipments.

· Use online shipping systems – primarily for FedEx Ground, Express, and LTL Freight.

· Maintain communication with drivers and carriers to resolve any issues and ensure on-time deliveries.

· Process receiving daily in ERP.

· Assists with international shipping compliance – some import/export experience preferred.

· Ensures accuracy of orders shipping to customers and internal service offices. Validates quantity and part numbers against shipping documents and purchase orders.

· Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory. Knowledge of inventory control and processing inventory transactions required.

· Maintain clean and safe work space in the warehouse.

· Work well with others as a collective team.

· Assist with other duties as assigned and needed.

· Report to: Procurement Manager

Experience and Qualification Requirements

· High School diploma or equivalent required.

· Associates or Bachelors preferred.

· Individual should feel comfortable working in various ERP software(NetSuite preferred), Microsoft Excel, Outlook, etc.

· Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

· Basic math skills.

· Organized, detail oriented, flexible, high energy, self-starter, innovative, & good communicator
