All training will be completed on First Shift.
Summary: Observe and operate one or more type of cutting or forming machine tool to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints or work instructions to determine product specifications and tooling instructions, and to plan operational sequences.
- Start machine and check coolant level.
- Position, adjust, and secure stock material or work pieces against stops, on arbors, or in chucks, fixtures, or automatic feeding mechanisms, manually.
· Inspect work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces to determine accuracy of machine operation, using rules, templates, or other measuring instruments.
· Operate a powered industrial truck.
· All other duties as assigned.

· Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
· Mathematics - Using basic mathematics to solve problems. Read tape-measure to1/32 of an inch.
· Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
· Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.
· Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Able to read basic blueprints, calipers and micrometers.
· Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions ,conclusions or approaches to problems.
· Language – Must be proficient in English. Reading, comprehending and understand the English language.
Education and/or Experiences:
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred.
Computer Skills:
Basic knowledge of computers.
