1st shift Quality Technician – Final Inspector
Job Overview
The Quality Technician ensures production parts and processes meet customer specifications through in-process and final inspections using precision measurement tools. They analyze quality data, perform root cause investigations, and collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions. This role supports maintaining quality standards and driving continuous improvement.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a quality technician role or similar position within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management principles, and ISO 9001
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform final inspection of tube assemblies - Measure and inspect production parts for conformance to customer requirements
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure conforming parts are being produced
- Discuss inspection results with the production team and recommend necessary corrective actions
- Issue non-conformances for internal quality issues and customer returns
- Data entry of inspection results and/or non-conformance information
- Experience with submitting customer PPAPs, including material certifications, control plans, FMEAs, and dimensional results
- Track customer RMAs and notify Operations for disposition
- Assist the Quality Manager in other assigned areas, including ISO9001 compliance and management of gage calibration
- Assist with receiving inspection and shipping as needed
- Must have the ability to use tape measures, calipers, micrometers, CMM, FARO Arm, and other various inspection instruments; FARO experience is a plus
- Computer experience required for documentation and tracking purposes
Attention to detail with strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and implement solutions
- All other duties as assigned
Work Environment:
- This role may require standing for extended periods and the ability to lift and/or carry material, may occasionally be up to 50 pounds without help.
- This position is based in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Full-Time. Monday – Friday 6am – 2:30 pm (occasional OT as needed)
