Job Summary:

As a Credit Analyst, you will play a key role in assessing the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients. You will conduct financial analysis, evaluate risk, and make recommendations to management regarding credit decisions. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Education/Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years related experience required.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field preferred.
• Experience in credit analysis or related field preferred.
• English (French or Spanish are a plus).
• Typically works in an office environment, but may also travel to meet with clients, attend industry conferences, or site visits.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, credit reports, and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with credit risk management principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to shift between multiple tasks accurately.

Job Responsibilities:

• Takes part in credit analysis projects, including both financial and non-financial data.
• Evaluate the creditworthiness of clients and make recommendations to management on credit decisions for new and existing customers.
• Monitor credit limits and payment terms for existing clients.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including internal/external customers and vendors.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address credit-related issues and improve credit processes. This includes holding and leading calls with the teams.
• Adheres to credit policies and procedures to mitigate credit risk.
• Contact customers with overdue accounts via phone, email, and letters to collect outstanding payments.
• Negotiate payment terms and resolve any disputes or issues regarding outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions in the system.
• Manage and respond to incoming emails and communications from various platforms related to credit inquiries, disputes, and account statuses.
• Handle maintenance of credit accounts, ensuring accurate updates and managing any changes or issues related to credit terms or other customer-related items. This includes updating and maintaining information in the ERP system.
