Job Summary:
The Production Control Manager, reporting to the Plant Manager, ensures timely and complete delivery of customer orders while maintaining competitive lead times. This role leads and coordinates the Extrusion, Paint, Fabrication, Materials Flow, and Plant Scheduling teams, aligning manufacturing capacity with demand. The manager also manages the customer service department acting as the bridge between sales and production, providing recommendations for staffing to meet operational requirements.
Required Education/Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Production Control Management in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, and manufacturing resource planning (work scheduling/lead times).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective leadership with a focus on people and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support short- and long-term goals, KPIs, and strategies.
- Manage Customer Service department to ensure excellent communication with customers for seamless and positive customer experience.
- Adhere to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 18001 standards.
- Ensure On-Time delivery and effective inventory control systems.
- Manage production capacity, constraints, and the Master Production Schedule.
- Monitor production schedules and material replenishment.
- Analyze and manage inventory levels within target budget.
- Manage MRP/MPS area and leverage Hydro’s network to meet lead times. Engagement in and lead the plant in efficient use of the tools.
