Immediate Quality Assurance Opportunity
QA Receiving Technician - Days (7:00 am to 3:30pm)

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for management of the quality inspections for incoming raw materials, including packaging and ingredients. They ensure raw materials meet specifications set by suppliers and HB’s quality specifications.
Job Duties:
- Management and implementation of Quality incoming receiving procedures to including the labeling of materials and verifying Schedule A status.
- Responsible to communicate any non-conforming material issues to Quality Assurance, Warehouse, Purchasing, Fulfillment and Production, as applicable.
- Coordinate with Warehouse Personnel to inspect, label and move non-conforming material to the QA hold area. This task may involve the generation of non-conformance reports, electronic holds, updating the hold and rework log, documentation using pictures, emails etc.
- Review incoming paperwork to verify it meets HB requirement. This includes but is not limited to certificate of analysis and incoming truck inspection sheets.
- Verify incoming ingredient certificates of analysis meet specifications
- Use SAGE to make sure expiration dates match paperwork and for the release of ingredients.
- Obtain retention sample of incoming ingredients, label and submit for micro analysis as directed.
- Maintain clean and orderly sampling carts and tool boxes.
- Ensure all paperwork and data entry is accurate and complete.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 6 months prior experience in quality control or a related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a facility that handles allergens including, but not limited to: wheat, soy, egg, milk, celery and mustard.
- Must be able to perform physical requirements of the position including walking, standing, stooping and climbing ladders.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without restriction, using proper safety methods.
- Ability to work in open environments, exposed to pungent odors and varying climates.
