We are recruiting on behalf of a global logistics leader with a rich history of over 150 years in the freight forwarding industry. This is a full-time and permanent opportunity, targeting a based salary of between $75-85,000. The role is based in Carson, CA, and is targeting onsite work 3x per week.
Position Overview :
As the Seafreight Export Supervisor, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for ensuring product compliance, managing operational efficiency, and driving revenue growth. This role will focus on overseeing export operations, maintaining high levels of customer service, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage communication between the company, carriers, vendors, and customers regarding shipment inquiries, shipping instructions, delays, and billing discrepancies.
- Ensure all services are conducted within established guidelines and are properly invoiced to clients.
- Oversee profitability audits, identify underperforming files, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor data entry accuracy and timeliness to ensure high-quality processing.
- Provide feedback on vendor performance and resolve any accounts payable issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast client needs, ensuring sufficient capacity and resources.
- Organize team meetings, conduct performance reviews, and manage staffing levels based on business needs.
- Act as a subject matter expert for seafreight export products and services, guiding internal and external teams.
- Identify market conditions that could affect clients and proactively develop solutions to avoid service disruptions.
