Job description – Inside Sales & Support Representative

Hydrolec, a family owned and operated manufacturing company in Jacksonville, Florida is looking for a team-oriented inside sales coordinator. Our industry leading hydraulic power unit manufacturing company focuses on building solutions for the waste & recycling industry. Therefore, an ideal candidate would have an interest in both manufacturing and the environmental services industry. Hydrolec has developed long-standing relationships with the leaders in the industry, and we are looking for someone to continue nurturing these relationships in addition to developing new ones. When listening to our customer’s needs, we have a “sky is the limit” approach! Meaning, we always work with the customer to find the solution that meets or exceeds their needs—no matter how impossible the request may seem.

Duties of Hydrolec’s Inside Sales & Support Representative include:

1. Listen to our customers’ needs and ask follow-up questions to understand their requirements to ensure we provide the best solution for their application and usage.

2. Learn the products we design and manufacture, so that you can be a knowledgeable resource to our customers.

3. Communicate and respond to customers in a professional manner.

4. Organize purchase orders, generate sales orders, and coordinate with the shipping department.

5. Communicate and coordinate with the Production team to ensure items are in stock, in process, and/ or able to ship within the customer’s expected time frame.

6. Communicate internally and with vendors or suppliers to obtain the information required to resolve customer concerns or inquiries. Follow up with customers promptly and efficiently to keep them updated on matters related to their account.

7. Identify and/or call on prospects for new business.

8. Follow through every sales opportunity from initial contact to shipping, and in some unavoidable circumstances—returned goods.
