Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics as well as someone is willing to serve as backup to the team as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment, adhering to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Coordinate with the production team to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Perform weekly inventory checks.
- Support the implementation of warehouse organization and efficiency improvements.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff.
- Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.
- Responsible for ensuring that daily orders are completed for all store fronts (Amazon, THD, Lowes).
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
RMA Process : (Return Merchandise Authorization)
- Assign an RMA number to authorize product returns.
- Track returned products as they are processed to ensure the return is received.
- Update inventory management ERP system when the RMA number is scanned upon arrival.
Shipping & Receiving:
- Loads trucks with product assigned to be shipped out daily.
- Ensures accuracy and verifies the counts to all outbound shipments.
- Unloads trucks with returned product daily.
- Check-in/Receive product in the ERP system and report any damages or defects.
- Ensures the accuracy and verifies the counts to all inbound shipments.
- Assists in sorting boxes by item and assures matching with the packing list and proactively resolves any discrepancies.
- Processes (Pick-Pack-Ship) repack products and applies shipment labels or products UPC accurately and efficiently.
- Collects documents DO/ BOL and organizes in records related to all inbound/ outbound shipments.
- Maintains inventory controls on racks by location with organizational standards.
- Keeps shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, sweep, dust and mop.
- Organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training of new employees.
- Schedules and oversees warehouse staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Works with Human Resources to effectively onboard new employees
- Works with Human Resources to discipline or terminate employees if necessary.
- Communicate company policies and procedures and/or changes to direct reports.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- 5-10 years previous experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Must have current Forklift certification.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and Microsoft office suite.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- High School diploma or equivalent of warehouse work experience.
- Experience with shipping and receiving.
- Experience working with Amazon FBA procedure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills as a team player.
- Ability to meet timelines in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, crouch for extended periods of time and have the ability to carry light to medium weights of 10-50lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,369.00 - $60,657.00 per year
