Role Description

This is a full-time field role for an Environmental Field Technician located in either St. Louis, MO or Kansas City, MO. The Environmental Field Technician will be responsible for collecting samples of wastewater from various locations throughout the state of Missouri as well as the country.

Essential Functions

• Obtain representative samples of wastewater at designated locations (such as manholes on or off-road, sewer cleanouts or treatment plants)
• Install, operate and calibrate field sampling equipment
• Maintain samples with care and ensure proper transportation to a testing lab
• Prepare accurate and thorough notes that reflect sampling procedures, site conditions and other pertinent information
• Follow Safety & PPE protocol
• Perform other ad hoc office duties as necessary to support company's mission
• Maintain good professional working relationships with customers and the public

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills
• Experience with environmental sampling and monitoring techniques
• Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., OSHA Hazwoper certification) are a plus

Other Requirements

• Must be willing to travel 50% (some travel in-state by vehicle, some travel out-of-state by plane)
• Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which employee resides.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Compensation

• $55-70k Annual Salary
• Bonus Eligible
