What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) position at HydroTech Environmental and Engineering?
HydroTech Corp. is looking for a self-motivated, team-oriented individual with good communication skills, to fill a full-time position as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). The role will be primarily field work done on project sites where you will:
- Observe and document the work being performed
- Read the project plans and specifications to determine compliance
- Sample, test, and observe the placement of reinforcing steel and structural steel
- Perform basic math calculations to determine compliance
- Communicate with the on site sub-contractor, contractor, and owner's representative
You MUST be able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds.
You MUST have at least 2 years experience as a CWI. CWI certification is required.
You MUST have a current driver's license and reliable transportation.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a proven ability to work independently, organize and manage multiple tasks with a high level of detail and project assignments, and interact well with the HydroTech team and our clients.
