Hyertek is seeking a Business Development Executive . The ideal candidate is fluent in the federal government contracting space and passionate about innovating, integrating, and automating businesses using best-in-class technology solutions. The Business Development Executive is responsible for attaining multi-account revenue, gross profit, and client satisfaction. You'll work closely with the CEO to meet clients and business partners. It is essential to monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities.

U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card) status and the ability to pass a federal government security clearance are required for this position.

This telecommuting position is based in the Washington DC, area (Maryland, DC, and Virginia). We'll consider other locations throughout the United States, although a physical presence in the D.C. Metro Area is desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Develop and execute sales and capture plans to build revenue and profit growth within targeted accounts.
  • Build a roster of direct contacts and nurture relationships with decision-makers in Civilian and Defense agencies, helping drive new contract wins and revenue.
  • Know how to cultivate new business leads, not by using the typical GovCon tools like SAM, GovWin, and GovTribe to increase pipeline objectives.
  • Manage the pipeline in our CRM System with accuracy and completeness in mind.
  • Lead your account portfolio's entire business development lifecycle from the capture to the proposal stage. This includes being an active participant in the proposal development process.
  • Lead the negotiation and coordination of contracting and delivery of client agreements.
  • Achieve sales quotas established in collaboration with the President

REQUIRED SKILLS :

  • Experience in applying federal sales methodology, technique, and best practices, emphasizing the Shipley Method.
  • Fluent in using CRM and Financial Systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or Unanet GovCon.
  • At least 6 years of experience to include
  • A minimum of 3 years in the enterprise I.T. industry

  • 2 years of experience leading sales efforts in a government business development or technical capacity
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, organize, and lead problem resolution efforts.
  • Capable of facilitating and mediating sales and proposal discussions
  • Experience in capture management, proposal development, leadership, delivery, and other sales and technical documentation production
  • Reports to the Chief Executive Officer
  • Can succeed without the requirement of management supervision
  • Knowledge of PMBoK, Agile CMMI, ISO, and ITIL
  • Willingness to be on a Base / Commission plan with a solid OTE given a quota between $2 - 5M annually. Results are measured quarterly.
  • EDUCATION :

  • Masters / MBA preferred though not required. Bachelor's Degree required
  • Miller-Heiman or Shipley Associates training preferred
  • PMP, CSM, or CSPO certifications
