Essential Job Functions
- Ensure vehicles are clean, orderly, and in safe condition.
- Complete maintenance requests as needed
- Assist BHT staff when not conducting other job duties
- Assists in assuring daily program activities; transport patients, coordinates group
- activities, and supervises all recreational activities
- Communicates all pertinent information to the Lead BHT and Program Director.
- Help with coverage of vacations, sick time, etc.
- Record patient behavior, problems, and issues in communication log in a timely, legible,
- and helpful manner.
- Interact appropriately with patients, showing them respect while maintaining professional
- boundaries.
- Maintain professional demeanor at all times.
- Communicate with other staff as necessary to promote quality patient care.
- Provide emotional support for patients while referring them to therapy staff to deal with
- clinical issues.
- Safely transports clients in company vehicles.
- Reports all motor vehicle incidents to supervisor no matter how slight
- Maintains good public relation with the addition treatment community and associates.
- Completion of Bi-weekly EOC and quarterly EOPC vehicle inspection logs
- Conduct monthly EOC staff quiz
- Must complete forms required for bi-weekly and monthly reports
- Demonstrates an ability to bond with patients and elicit respect
- Demonstrates ability to adapt to different types of patients
- Practices De-Escalation and Crisis Management techniques consistently
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent

- Valid Drivers License required
- First Aid and CPR training
- Prior experience as a driver/transportation support specialist preferred
- 6 months experience in health and human service-related field preferred
- Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits
- work for spelling and grammar
- Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative solutions; listens and gets
- clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and
- participates in meetings
- Must be able to be added to Company Vehicle Policy
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours
