Overview
Hyland requires an HR function that thinks and acts globally. We are looking to add an HR Generalist to offer their expertise to the Latin America region, supporting leaders and employees in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru. As an HR Generalist, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the HR Business Partner & Country Partner team regarding daily HR operations for assigned areas. This role will also support other areas of HR, including payroll and recruitment, as well to ensure the organization is effectively and efficiently being supported.
As an HR Generalist at Hyland, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive HR support and responsible for managing various HR operations, including employee relations, performance management, HR policies and procedures, supporting payroll processes and recruitment activities, and compliance related actions. The HR Generalist is primarily responsible for supporting the HR team regarding daily HR operations for the LATAM region. Your expertise in HR practices and regulations will ensure compliance and drive the success of our HR initiatives.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement HR programs that support our business objectives. This role will also be responsible for carrying out administrative processes in the recruitment process for the LATAM region, including coordinating hiring activities, scheduling interviews, and onboarding. You will help coordinate basic payroll responsibilities and tasks, partnering with the payroll team to provide timely and accurate payroll in accordance with all legal requirements and company policies.
This role will impact the organization by driving employee engagement and fostering a positive work culture. As an HR Generalist you will primarily support the HR Country Partner, payroll and recruiting team for the LATAM region. The ideal candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Fluency in English is a prerequisite for this position. Location: This role will be based in Sao Paolo, Brazil in a hybrid capacity, with the expectation of being in office 2-3 days a week.
What you will be doing
- Provide dedicated support to assigned HR Country Partner, employees, and leadership and the payroll and recruiting team.
- Maintain and process required routine HR administrative tasks such as, but not limited to, unemployment claims, background checks, HR Assistance Requests, legal and proposal requests, Health and Safety requirements, engagement events & activities.
- Maintain and apply knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees and investigative best practices, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Coach, counsel and guide managers as necessary regarding employee relation issues and performance management process. Research and respond to employee concerns, investigate claims and allegations, document findings, and recommend resolution.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other general HR topics.
- Work with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
- Communicate to employees and management regarding various human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations
- Conduct exit interviews, review general employee feedback, analyze data and metrics, seeking opportunities and strategies to improve trends in turnover, retention, and key indicators of employee engagement.
- Provide HR support for business needs such as local training delivery and assist with employee relations initiatives, community relations, and employee engagement events.
- Assist with payroll processes, including processing, reporting, and addressing employee questions.
- Support recruitment efforts, including screening resumes, scheduling interviews and onboarding.
- Work on various projects and initiatives as requested
- Partner with HR Country Partner to identify and implement significant process improvements; define operational effectiveness for the assigned organization.
What will make you successful
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other related field
- Fluent in English and intermediate level of Spanish communication
- Knowledge and experience in human resources disciplines, i.e. employee relations, performance management, recruitment practices, etc.
- Microsoft Windows and Office proficient
- Strong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others in order to achieve results
