Project Manager and Estimator

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimating Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the estimating department, ensuring accurate cost assessments for construction projects, and leading negotiations with clients and subcontractors. This role requires a strong understanding of construction management and project management principles, along with proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, building connected. The Estimating Manager will play a crucial role in building successful project bids and maintaining cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties

• Lead the estimating team in preparing comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors to achieve favorable terms.
• Implement effective cost control measures to monitor project budgets and expenditures.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines.
• Conduct site visits to gather data on construction site conditions that may affect project costs.
• Review and approve final estimates before submission to clients.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior estimators within the department.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field, with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
• Proficiency in estimating software, particularly Bluebeam and building conneced, is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost assessments.
• Familiarity with contract management processes within the construction industry.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also managing individual responsibilities effectively.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,317.00 - $76,180.00 per year
