Summary:
Technical support for new project development and support of the Operations Group at Hynes.
(Shift: Day, as needed)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes the following:
- Lead Engineering Support for Operations Group (operators, production, tooling set-up) with new projects transitioning into Operations
- Review and implement setup sheets, pre-notch & length programs for new orders in accordance with Hynes Industries Standard Operating Procedures
- Design tooling and fixtures for production as needed
- Work with the Operations Group line optimization and Continuous Improvement projects
- Helps maintain item master, BOM and router creation in the ERP system.
- Executes Engineering Change Notices when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or Engineering Technology. Experience in manufacturing environment (3-5yrs). Preferred experience in Tool and Die, roll forming and stamping.
Skills:
- AutoCAD and Inventor
- Microsoft Office, MS Project
- Continuous improvement, Six Sigma
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, sit for long periods. Use small tools and lift 50 pounds.
Work Environment: Manufacturing and mill environment, office (Travel required, approximately 20%)
