The Logistics Specialist manages the supply chain and ensures the efficient movement of goods and materials within an organization. They handle tasks such as inventory management, procurement, and transportation coordination.
Essential Functions
- Manage and monitor the flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers
- Develop and implement logistics plans and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods and services
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, carriers, and other service providers
- Monitor and report on supply chain performance metrics, such as on-time delivery and cost savings
- Process customer orders and ensure timely delivery
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers
- Ensure that logistics processes comply with regulations
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in logistics, warehousing, and/or transportation
- Computer applications experience including Microsoft Office, AS400, SAP, etc.
- Excellent customer service, problem solving, communication, and decision making skills
- Ability to work efficiently and multitask
- Ability and availability to work extended hours including late nights and weekends as needed.
