Position detail: (IMPORTANT)
- This position hiring for males ONLY.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Supportive Groups: Facilitate assigned group therapy sessions, providing a supportive and engaging environment for residents to explore and understand their behaviors and emotions.
- Individual Support: Offer one-on-one support and encouragement to residents, helping them navigate their recovery process and personal growth journey.
- Medication Management: Monitor and accurately record residents’ medication intake, ensuring compliance with prescribed treatments.
- ADL's: assist participants with understanding the importance of maintaining healthy ADL's (activities of daily living) and IADL's (instrumental activities of daily living)
- Communication: Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, effectively conveying information and fostering open dialogue with residents and team members.
- Time Management: Efficiently organize and prioritize tasks to ensure the smooth operation of daily activities within the facility.
- Facilitate Training: Lead in-service training sessions, contributing to the ongoing education and development of staff on relevant topics and best practices.
- Problem Solving: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in a timely and effective manner.
Qualifications:
- Lived Experience: Applicants with personal experience in recovery are highly valued, offering unique insights and empathy in supporting our residents. Not mandatory, but a plus!
- Diverse Backgrounds: A passion for working with clients from diverse ethnic groups and backgrounds.
- Independence: Capable of working with minimal supervision, showing initiative and self-direction.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Positive Attitude: Must present and promote a positive work environment and be able to work collaboratively with a wide variety of individuals.
- Learning Orientation: A willingness to learn or existing understanding of emotional intelligence and a growth mindset.
- Teamwork: Must be able to work functionally within a team structure.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
