HYPE is a nonprofit on the move, empowering girls of color with the STEM skills they need to thrive. We’re looking for a Marketing Communications Manager to elevate our brand, expand our reach, and engage key audiences. This role is perfect for someone who wants to lead and grow—balancing big-picture strategy with hands-on execution.
As Marketing Communications Manager, you’ll develop and implement marketing strategies that create a compelling and consistent brand experience across web, social media, email, events, and public relations. You’ll collaborate with leadership, staff, and the board to strengthen our brand, drive engagement, and support fundraising, partnerships, and student recruitment. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with social media platforms, email marketing (MailChimp, HubSpot, Constant Contact), and web analytics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with design tools like Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop is a plus.
- Nonprofit experience preferred.
Competencies
- Strong problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral/written communication, editing and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with the latest public relations trends and best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a cross-functional environment and communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects with varying deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Solid computer skills, including MS Excel, web analytics and Google Adwords.
