Sports Editor, Hypebae

Established in 2016, Hypebae is a leading female online destination that empowers our next-gen creatives by navigating today’s emerging youth culture with stimulating, organic narratives. Standing at the intersection of fashion and creative dialogue, Hypebae shares its distinctive vision, and provides impactful insights on the dynamic face of emerging youth culture.

Sportswear as a category is expected to continue to grow faster than fashion, and brands are increasingly seeking for authentic ways to engage and participate in sports culture. With a newly framed Sports vertical, Hypebae will lead the charge. 

Looking specifically at the intersection of beauty, athleticism and inclusivity, this role will leverage sports culture more actively and tell the stories that are not being told right now.  

• Oversee the curation of daily sports news and features on the sports vertical of Hypebae, alongside creating social-first content for Hypebae's social media platforms.
• Source, write, edit and publish all necessary sports content, ensuring it meets our editorial standards, mission and vision.
• Ensure that sports content represents the brand correctly and with integrity.
• Brainstorm, plan and execute new sports series, social formats and original content that will engage both existing and new readers.

• Have a strong knowledge of sports and sports culture.
• 4 years of experience creating editorial beauty content.
• Have vlogging and/or social media experience (and the ability to shoot and edit vlog-style social content).
• Knowledge of Hypebae content on a local and international level.
• Understand that potential of sports and approach the challenge with enthusiasm and gusto.
