What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Hyper Kidz- Indoor Playground?
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the operation of play equipment and any machinery by completing preventive maintenance requirements on all motorized and non-motorized play equipment by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
- Troubleshoot malfunctions
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation,listening for problems and using precision measuring and testing instruments
- Remove defective parts by dismantling equipment and using and hand and power tools
- Determine changes in parts by inspecting used parts
- Use measuring instruments
- Re-order parts as needed
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using various hand tools
- Control downtime by cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, main floor, equipment, party rooms, and lounge areas on a regular basis
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies, verifying receipts
- Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; review technical publications; establish personal networks
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Document all job tasks in accordance with report-writing procedures, as requested by management
- Repair other equipment, fixtures, and furniture as needed
- Preserve functionality of the play equipment, bathrooms, and lounge areas at all times
- Notify the General Manager immediately of any deficiencies
- Perform all safety checklist requirements in the play, bathroom, and lounge areas to maintain safe conditions at all times.
- Monitor the facility’s conformity to local fire and safety regulations.
- Document safety concerns and communicate them with the General Manager
- Oversee overall safety and functionality of the facility at large
- Wear Mascot and interact with children during birthday party rotations
- Must be able to work nights (until 9pm or 10pm) and weekends
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
