Job Title: Floor Associate
Reports To: General Manager, Assistant Manager, Owners
Objective:
The objective of this position is to plan, organize, execute and control all activities related to the successful operation of the stationed zone (lobby, main floor play area, play zones, and parent lounge).
Floor Associates are positioned in various areas throughout the play facility and deal directly with our guests. They are strategically placed in certain areas of the facility in order to monitor for safety and capacity of the various play zones, assist customers, and keep the shelves, displays and all floor areas presentable.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the zone to which one is stationed (Big Kid Zone/Kid Zone/Mini Zone/Lobby)
- Monitor and control for safety, control traffic flow, ensure proper age and weight limits per zone, enforce proper use of the play equipment, and assist parents and children as needed, including inside play structure.
- Document and report any incidents in accordance with Hyper Kidz in accordance with Hyper Kidz policy and as requested by management
- Restock areas as needed or requested
- Conduct safety checks and operating conditions of play equipment and apparatus
- Monitor the facility’s conformity to local fire and safety regulations
- Monitor and maintain the guest count in the stationed zone and notify the management of any potential infractions of local fire and safety regulations
- Participate in training to effectively perform all job responsibilities in Guest Services, Operations, Child Supervision, First Aid and Emergency Procedures
- Any other appropriate job tasks or duties as required by the General or Assistant Manager
Required Work Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Some High School, High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent speaking and communication skills, helpful and courteous, good judgment and problem-solving skills, and ability to sustain attention
- Must be detail-oriented, a good communicator, have a good work ethic, and have high standards for self and others
- Able to reach, bend, lift, climb, stoop, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds
- Able to climb through play structure
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hrs)
- The job requires tremendous self-control- maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, managing stress and frustration, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very challenging situations with children

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
