Hyperbaric Chamber Operator – Part time seasonal
Our private Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Clinic in Carmel, Indiana is growing: come be a part of an innovative and effective treatment modality! We provide extensive training for this part-time 2-3 days/week position. Hours vary based on patient scheduling, but typically 10 am to 3 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and/or Fridays through August. Working under the supervision of the Medical Director you'll perform a variety of functions necessary for the care of patients receiving HBOT. No experience necessary but you must pass a competency evaluation. Hourly pay is commensurate with experience.
Duties:
- Perform general hyperbaric chamber operator duties, including preparing, educating, and orienting patients to their hyperbaric oxygen therapy session.
- Monitor, operate, and control the hyperbaric chamber equipment.
- Monitor patient response to treatment and make proper adjustments for patient safety and comfort.
- Ensure safe and effective use of the equipment.
- Keep complete and accurate patient records.
- Maintain patient confidentiality; understand and comply with HIPAA requirements.
- Comply with all standards of care; maintain current level of knowledge relative to professional practice.
- Maintain all required professional documentation, such as license and certification.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse: HBOT experience preferred but not required.
- Confident, cheerful, outgoing personality; able to work independently.
- Current license to practice in the State of Indiana.
- ACLS or BLS certified.
