Hyperion Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our Technical Services Team, based out of Hillside, NJ supporting the brands Capital Electric Motor and McIntosh Industries. Reporting to the Territory Manager, this position plays an integral part on the team by providing on-site support for our customers and traveling either locally or across the United States to assigned field service jobs. There are three levels within the Field Service Technician role and based on the skills completed through training, individuals can progress as a Field Service Technician Helper, Field Service Technician, or Senior Field Service Technician.
Primary Responsibilities:
Field Service:
- Perform onsite turnkey services on our customer sites
- Conduct vibration analysis, Electrical Testing (multimeter/Megger), Rigging,
Mechanical Machine work
Maintenance and Repair:
- Test AC/DC motors and pumps, perform troubleshooting & diagnose problems
- Inspect motors, pumps, and the controls
Installation and Removal:
- Remove and install all types of rotating equipment
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment
- Communicate with internal team members to ensure procedures and processes are
being followed in a safe and effective manner
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 5 years' experience in rotating apparatus field repair (AC and/or DC electric motors, pumps, blowers, etc.) preferred.
- Experience in an electric motor/job shop environment.
- Technical skills required include troubleshooting of problems, electrical theory,
mechanical theory and understanding of vibration analysis and alignment.
