Traveling to satellite office locations is required along with reliable transportation.
For Office Medical Assistant:
*Prepare and file medical records and patient charts through EMR system
*Maintain medical records using standard filing system
*Verifying Insurance
*Correctly inputting patient information into the EMR (demographics, insurance etc.)
*Maintain and adjust medical office equipment
*Prepare and maintain appointment books
*Record body measurements and vital signs
*Prepare patients for examination
*Call and schedule test and get pre-certs if applicable per insurance
*Answer phones and relay patient requests and questions
*Type business correspondence
*Repeat and explain doctors's instructions (patient education)
*Respond to medical office emergencies, administer CPR, and basic first aid
* Input data entry for billing purposes
*Lift with assistance up to 50 lbs.
*Great attitude and professionalism required
