Packaging Assistant

Canary Road is a growing, Florida-based home décor brand specializing in personalized and stylish kitchen towels and other home goods. We take pride in delivering high-quality, handmade products to customers across the country, including direct-to-consumer and wholesale accounts.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Packaging & Shipping Assistant to join our team and help ensure our customers receive beautifully packaged orders on time. Ideal hours are 10AM-4PM Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently; examples include: folding towels, stuffing pillows, framing prints, wrapping mugs, etc.
• Handle delicate items with care to ensure safe delivery.
• Conduct quality inspections on packaging before shipping.
• Pack shipments securely, following required specifications for both retail and wholesale orders.
• Print and assign shipping labels to the correct orders.
• Use basic computer programs for order processing, printing shipping labels, and inventory tracking.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace to ensure an efficient workflow.
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking and reporting low stock levels.
• Organize and maintain shipping supplies to keep processes running smoothly.
• Fold and prepare towels for packaging.
• Package and ship bulk wholesale orders in addition to regular online orders.
• Provide occasional customer service support, such as resolving shipping-related inquiries.

Requirements:

• Basic computer skills (e.g., navigating order processing software, printing labels, updating inventory).
• Ability to be efficient and timely with repetitive tasks, while maintaining a high level of quality
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail to ensure all orders are packed and labeled correctly.
• Comfortable with light lifting (up to 30 lbs.).
• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts. Ability to walk, bend, stoop, reach, etc. for extended periods of time
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work additional hours during peak seasons (such as the holiday season and the week before Mother’s Day).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
