Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Accounts Payable Manager based at our Americas Headquarters located in Greenville, NC.
What you will do:
- Cash Flow & Vendor Payments
- Manage multiple pay runs and payment methods, ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments.
- Make strategic decisions on vendor payments in periods of tight cash flow.
- Oversee vendor master setup, bank account validation, and changes to ensure security and accuracy.
- Help Desk & Vendor Relations
- Supervise the Accounts Payable Help Desk, addressing vendor payment inquiries and reconciliation issues.
- Work directly with vendors to resolve payment discrepancies, negotiate credit holds, and maintain positive vendor relationships across multiple locations and currencies.
- Process Optimization & Special Projects
- Lead process improvements, including invoice delivery optimization and faster discrepancy resolution.
- Oversee robotic process automation (RPA) implementation, including vendor selection, system configuration, employee training, and ongoing support.
- Develop and refine accounts payable processes to support new business programs.
- System & Software Management
- Act as the technical expert for various accounts payable software applications (SAP, Open Text, SRM, PRMS).
- Recommend software configuration enhancements and oversee testing, employee training, and system implementation.
- Work with internal teams to identify and implement system fixes and enhancements.
- Global Accounts Payable Oversight
- Provide leadership and ongoing support to offshore accounts payable teams, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Supervise the indirect and non-PO invoice processing team to maintain accurate and timely financial records.

What you will need:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- Graduate degree and/or CPA preferred.
- Experience:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or financial operations.
Skills, Experience & Abilities
- Accounting Expertise: Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, general ledger transactions, and financial reporting principles.
- Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead and develop teams, manage vendor relationships, and oversee offshore processing functions.
- System Proficiency: Experience with financial software, including SAP, Open Text, SRM, and PRMS.
- Analytical & Process Improvement: Advanced Excel skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and system enhancements.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills to oversee multiple projects, meet deadlines, and implement new financial processes.
